**Job Description**:
In this role of Specialist, Trade Operations and Compliance, you will engage with internal and external partners to deliver compliant and efficient import and export declaration and accounting processes, support duty-saving programs, leveraging technology and global partners to enable Canada Goose Supply Chain priorities and cost savings.

**What You’ll Do**:

- Enhance import and export execution framework, for Compliance, Supply Chain efficiency, Financial Administration and Recording Keeping
- Handle duty and tax payment in relation to account security coverage, using Customs and partners' portal.
- Establish and maintain process and partner/agency relationship, for IC/Audits, Reconciliation, First Sale Programs and C-TPAT.
- Develop and implement global operational standards, in key areas of Partner, Data, Document Management and Global Trade Management system set-up.
- Establish and present KPI for Partners service level evaluation and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Partner with IT, Tax/Finance and Sourcing to implement automated operational process, for alignment with Customs Agency requirements and portal - ACE, C-TPAT
- Keep current on regulatory changes impacting import/export and take a proactive approach for timely update of process and controls.
- Support Trade data elements and attribute gathering and testing, for Global Trade Management, tools implementation.
- Develop and maintain operational program manuals, training guide and procedures, for product data on RM, FG, Equipment, Samples, Prototypes, Down and Fur and stakeholder input for Traceability.

**Expected Outcomes**:

- Global Trade operational consistency by developing and using manual to support training.
- Deliver on Global Trade Management, tool implementation and maintenance.
- Operational visibility from status reporting and action plan for timely risk management
- Scalable operational process for 'speed to market' on CG's global expansion, for new markets.
- Report on relevant regulatory changes, design and execute plan to minimize Supply Chain disruption and adhere to government programs and regulations.
- Balance competing priorities, in multiple time zone, with consideration of cultural diversification.
- Exercise reasonable care and due diligence, accountability, and ethical behaviour
- Agile, fact-based and transparent collaboration.

**Let's Talk About You**:

- Minimum 3-5 years Customs and Trade operations experience, preferable in manufacturing and retail of apparel and footwear
- Reconciliation Filing, First Sale Program, Duty Drawback, FTA/Quota Management, DPS, C-TPAT
- University/College education required, plus LBC/CCS/CTCS, CSS, WCO Certification
- Strong computer/IT skills for Visio, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Trade Systems
- Experience with negotiating and influencing for balance of compliance and financial controls.
- People management and cross-functional coaching/roadshows
- Subject Matter Expert in Apparel and Footwear HS classification, FTA, Valuation, origin determination.
- Experience in cross-functional engagement, from design/sourcing to finish goods delivery, in an Apparel and Footwear multinational structure.
- Efficiency in analysis, scenario modeling and presenting quantitative and qualitative information.
- Ability to manage multi-geographical relationships and projects, including PO/invoice processing.
