**THE OPPORTUNITY**
Under our Hazardous Building Materials Group, we are recruiting for a Hazardous Building Materials Operations Manager, based out of Edmonton, Alberta. You will have extensive experience in managing technical staff, hazmat abatement, contract management and possesses strong leadership skills to coordinate project related activities for all group members.

**YOUR RESPONSIBILITES**:
- Staff supervision, training, development, and mentorship within the Hazardous Building Materials Group;
- Performing project management duties for clients across Canada;
- Coordinating work and client contacts with other groups and divisions within Ambipar Canada;
- Preparation of contract documents, safe work procedures, specifications, tenders, and budgets for final review by the Group Manager;
- Providing project oversight and conducting inspections to assess staff compliance with OH&S regulations, and Ambipar Canada’s practices and procedures;
- Prepare detailed reports, documenting findings, and providing recommendations to address indoor air quality and hazardous building materials concerns;
- Complete compliance inspections for abatement and restoration contractors;
- Prepare reports, drawings detailing findings and recommendations;
- Developing field, draft, and final reports for submission to Group Manager for final review and sign off.
**REQUIRED EDUCATION & QUALIFICATIONS**
- Diploma in occupational health and safety or construction, or Bachelor of Science in Engineering or equivalent;
- 5+ years of work experience in environmental health and safety profession with previous experience in the field and client site work;
- related post-secondary education will be considered an asset.;
- C.E.T. or related designations will be considered an asset;
- experience with business development initiatives and client and regulatory interaction;
- availability to work outside core business hours and rotational weekends;
- vehicle, valid drivers license, and insurance is required; and
- availability to work and travel as required for project needs.

- strong communication (written and verbal) and organizational skills with an ability to follow detailed instructions;
- posses strong time management skills;

- knowledge of environmental and health and safety legislation and guidelines.
