**What is the opportunity?**

A Commercial Solutions Specialist is a core member of the commercial banking team. As a strategic member of the team, you will provide commercial clients in the Retail, Health Care and Consumer Services segments with insightful advice based on your knowledge of RBC’s Beyond Banking suite of solutions. You will identify opportunities to introduce commercial clients to Insight Edge - RBC’s Data Insights and Analytics tool to support business growth. You will develop business, using Insight Edge and our suite of Beyond Banking solutions to attract new clients. You execute on performance targets and recommend appropriate differentiated solutions to clients, cultivating long-term client relationships.

**What will you do?**

You will grow the RBC Beyond Banking business with existing commercial clients and new client targets. You will be present in your market, leading Advice Events related to Beyond Banking and contributing to RBC’s overall market share growth. All this will be delivered through a growth mindset, client centricity, strong partnerships, and communication by leveraging digital or human generated insights to:

- Educate the client or new client target on new or emerging issues that will impact their business
- Lean into the client’s journey early and often with financial advice as a Trusted Strategic Advisor
- Deliver on market plans by articulating the unique value proposition that differentiates RBC, increasing our share of wallet with an exceptional client experience

To win as a team, you will develop and execute consistent practice management routines with core team partners such as the Treasury Solutions Specialist, the Business Deposits Specialist, the Commercial Banking Advisor, and the Commercial Account Manager, working together to identify opportunities for acquisition, and growth. This includes planning and prioritizing client and market activities to win as One RBC, seeking referral opportunities for the relationship team and other one RBC partners.

**What do you need to succeed?**

Must-have
- Minimum 2 years of demonstrated excellence with Business Clients
- Proven track record of business development and strong sales success
- This role is open to multiple locations in Ottawa OR Montreal as it is a home office role with travel expectation of up to 25%.

**Nice-to-have**
- Experience working in Financial Services
- Deep knowledge of and passion for Beyond Banking solutions at RBC
