**Company Overview**
Gunther’s Building Center is a leading supplier and distributor of interior finishing products, serving the Calgary marketplace for 68 years. We are proud to have one of Calgary's largest inventories stored at our centrally located facility. GBC caters to single and multi-family residential building contractors and developers, as well as, renovation and single permit customers in the Calgary and surrounding area. At GBC, every customer encounter is an opportunity for our staff to create an exceptional experience. We are currently searching for a full-time **WAREHOUSE LOADER/DRIVER** who will consistently demonstrate GBC’s passion for customer service and quality.
**Position Description**
Reporting to the Warehouse Manager, this role is responsible for the preparation and delivery of products onsite and to customer job sites, picking and loading orders quickly and correctly, delivering product to customer job sites in pristine condition, driving large cube vans, putting away stock, servicing walk up traffic, as well as other typical warehouse and driving activities.
**Key** **Duties and Responsibilities**
- Ability to load and deliver products to customer sites in a safe, prompt, and courteous manner
- Required to assist with customer pick-ups and returns
- Maintain and secure a clean, organized, and safe warehouse/work environment
- Required to have working knowledge of basic carpentry or handyman practices
- Remove snow in the winter months to maintain a safe work environment
- Must be able to lift and move heavy product, equipment and supplies on a daily basis
- Must be able to manage time effectively to ensure deadlines are met
- Must be able to maintain accurate inventory and cycle counts
- Must have a desire to consistently maintain a safe, friendly, and cooperative work environment
**Qualifications**
- Must possess a clean driving abstract with a VALID class 5 driver’s license and provide a clear drivers abstract
- Required to have a strong attention to detail and an ability to interpret and process data efficiently and accurately
- Must be highly attentive to numbers, details and organization
- Working knowledge of the Microsoft Office environment is an asset
- Must have the ability to multi-task and manage changing priorities while maintaining a professional and positive attitude
- Demonstrated success as a strong team player that takes pride in their work and always maintains a professional image
- Experience with counter-balance forklift is considered an asset
- Knowledge of basic carpentry or handyman practices is considered an asset
- Must be have excellent communication skills (Written and Spoken English)
- Must successfully complete a security clearance
**Education**
- Possess a High School education and/or equivalent work experience
- Possession or ability to obtain a valid forklift certificate within 60 days
