**Summary**
The Health and Safety Culture Advisor, under the direction of the Health and Safety Culture Manager, will primarily be responsible for facilitating the development, implementation, and maintenance of the Cherubini Group Occupational Health and Safety policies and programs. This position works closely with all levels of management and employees to ensure consistent promotion and utilization of safe work practices within the manufacturing and office environments to ensure safe work practices and policies. **Job Duties**
- Facilitate and contribute to the development, implementation, communication, and maintenance of all Workplace Health and Safety policies and programs.
- Ensure Cherubini Metal Works LTD remains compliant with all relevant Health and Safety Legislation / Regulations and by-laws.
- Participate in the identification, evaluation, control, and management of hazards and risks throughout the organization.
- Work with the JOSHC to further develop safety program initiatives
- Investigate incidents and near misses and propose recommendations.
- Develop, implement and audit safety policies and procedures as well as ensure they are in compliance with legislation.
- Provide training and mentorship to staff on best safety practices.
- Facilitate and assist in the development of new-hire safety orientation programs.
- File any appropriate documents to governing bodies (e.g. WCB, WSIB, OHSA, etc.)
- Complete and maintain all paperwork with regards to work-related incidents.
- Maintain membership in applicable safety or environmental associations in order to remain informed of new developments and trends.
- Attend health and safety seminars.
- Promote the health, safety, and well-being of all employees.
- Orientation and training for employees.
- Investigate any workplace accidents.
- Additional duties as assigned by management.

**Requirements**:

- Post-Secondary diploma in Occupational Health and Safety or a related field.
- 2+ years' of experience implementing and promoting safe work practices and policies within a similar environment.
- Understanding of current Occupational Health and Safety Legislation, Regulations, Codes of Practice, Bulletins and other safe work practice requirements and recommendations.
- Excellent communication (both verbal and written) and interpersonal skills.
- Able to make decisions in complex situations that could be immediately dangerous to life or health where no established guidelines exist.
- Able to build and maintain strong working relationships.
- General knowledge of Fire and Building Codes.
- Able to balance multiple demands and competing priorities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $55,000.00-$63,000.00 per year
