**Production Services Supervisor**
CKUA is currently seeking a Production Services Supervisor, who can lead the Technical and Archival Services critical to our ability to deliver our commitment to the communities and artists we serve.
Working in a dynamic environment you will immerse yourself in the evolution of established radio practices along with the convergence and emergence of countless digital platforms recognizes that CKUA's content creation and production is applicable beyond traditional radio programming. The Production Services Supervisor integrates all technical production services functions (including but not limited to library & archives, traffic, technical production) that support and enhance the creation and delivery of consistent and high-quality content regardless of platform.
Collaborating with the Content Director, Senior Producer and other colleagues, the Production Services Supervisor takes a wholistic approach to the planning, delivery and administrative responsibilities for technical production services consistently support promoting the CKUA brand and mission across platforms.
You will supervise, guide, and assess the work of:
- library services related to the intake, organizing, cataloguing, and reporting out of music usage for programming purposes.
- archival services related to the organizing, researching, cataloguing, digitizing of CKUA archival content. Ensuring content is available for programming and promotional purposes.
- technical services supporting and enhancing live and recorded content including but not limited to the following studio and remote settings music events, special events, and special programming in CKUA performance spaces. for all CKUA channels.
Your attention to detail, ability to prioritize, organize assignments and resources is key to meeting the challenges of this role. You will have direct involvement in defining and upholding CKUA broadcast guidelines including technical standards, reporting requirements and other associated regulatory or internal reporting needed to support our licensing obligations.
Throughout your career you have gained valuable supervisory experience and demonstrated a high degree of respect, sensitivity for the communities, stakeholders you will have interacted with in previous roles, your awareness of the impact our communications may have on diverse audiences is reflected in your thoughtful messaging and interactions with various individuals as a representative of CKUA.
This full-time position is based in Edmonton and the terms and conditions are governed by the Collective Agreement between CKUA and IBEW Local 2228.
