Responsibilities & Expectations:
As a Production Supervisor with IPS, you will provide leadership to ensure the day-to-day execution of all production activities. To ensure consistent operation of all equipment and processes and the delivery of consistent products that meet all customer objectives and expectations by supporting the production staff to keep operations running.
- Comply to all IPS CIPS requirements.
- Assessment of various transformers, identification and planning of appropriate work scopes repair work.
- Planning, organizing, and supervision of manpower, resources, materials, and equipment required to execute work scopes.
- Providing technical guidance and recommendation in accordance with relevant industry standards and best engineering practices.
- Adherence to Quality Management System, ensuring accuracy and reliability of work carried out, records kept, and reports generated.
- Liaise with technical departments within IPS to develop engineering solutions.
- Liaise with Project Manager to update job schedule's route sheet, technical clarifications, update on job status and completion.
- Communicating job progress updates to project manager effectively, including anticipation of delays and disruption to schedules.
- Transformer strip down, inspection, fault finding and RCFA.
- Develop detailed repair plans.
- Transformer rebuilds, final inspections, and completion sign off.
- Familiar with the risks and hazards within the activities and processes of the role and procedures, practices and measures in place to mitigate the risks.
- Strong understanding of Quality control, EHS / Risk assessments and method statements
- Responsible for creating, planning and pre-authorization of lift plans and safe execution of all lifting operations
Qualifications and Competencies:
- High School diploma required
- Sharp analytical thinking and reasoning abilities
- Strong ability to accurately follow instructions, both written and verbal, with limited guidance
- Strong proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office suite as well as Adobe Acrobat
- Ability to analyze and interpret data and take appropriate action
- Excellent time management
- Ability to communicate technical data in a clear and concise manner
- Must exhibit excellent written and verbal skills
- Technical background with electrical and/or mechanical products is a plus
- Prior knowledge or eager to learn an enterprise Resource Planning software
- Critical attention to detail
