Security Manager

Blackbird Security Inc. is looking to hire a **Security Manager** to join our team in **Vancouver, BC.**

**Role Summary**

As the Security Manager, you will be responsible for fully and directly supporting the Operations Manager and the Director of Operations in their roles as it pertains to the cost-effective management of all operational facets associated with your region in terms of operational accountability.

**Job Duties**
- Plan, coordinate, and oversee all events in the Lower Mainland.
- Supervise, train, and support event security personnel to maintain high performance and professionalism.
- Conduct post event debriefs, incident reporting, and comprehensive risk assessments for each event.
- Manage recruitment, scheduling, and performance of event security staff.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards, company policies, and client expectations.
- Maintain and manage event equipment, uniforms, and inventory updates.
- Perform onsite compliance checks and quality assurance visits during major events.
- Liaise with clients, supervisors, and internal departments to ensure smooth communication and operations.
- Oversee crowd management, access control, and emergency response readiness.
- Identify areas for operational improvement and implement best practices to enhance efficiency and safety.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by management.

**Job Requirements**
- 2+ years of experience in an event management capacity is required.
- Experience in the security industry is highly preferred.
- Should possess a valid Security Workers License and Driving License
- Willingness to use your vehicle for work-related purposes and travel (gas and parking will be reimbursed)
- Proven experience in a leadership role is required.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to anticipate the needs of clients.
- Must demonstrate strong analytical thinking skills.
- Should possess strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound judgment calls.
- Prior experience with Tracktik is an asset.
- Superior organizational and time-management skills.
