SmartLiving continues to move forward with an ambitious development program, with a significant pipeline of residential multi-family units coming to market across the country. The Vice-President, Sales and Marketing will build the capabilities of and direct a team responsible for the marketing and sales of all residential developments within the SmartLiving portfolio, including market condominiums, single-family homes, and lease-up of purpose-built rental units.

**Responsibilities**:

- Manage overall sales and marketing activities that include market research, sales presentations, tracking of sales and marketing trends, advertising campaigns, and marketing promotional events for various multi-family residential projects.
- Lead and manage a team of internal sales staff, and work collaboratively to execute residential sales and marketing campaigns.
- Grow and maintain an established network of external agents/brokers.
- Working closely with the corporate marketing team to ensure effective and consistent articulation of brand and messaging to various audiences, both public-facing and internal, ensuring alignment of company messaging.
- Drive the marketing and communications strategy for all multi-family projects.
- Exceptional understanding of local real estate market and remaining up to date on pre-construction home sales and market dynamics to inform product design and pricing.
- Manage the creation of marketing and branding for all multi-family project that aligns with corporate branding and messaging.
- Preparation of regular sales reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing data and trends.
- Develop and be responsible for achieving aggressive monthly targets.
- Strong design understanding with the ability to provide direction for the design and execution of marketing materials and coordinate the production and delivery of marketing materials to end users.
- Work with internal project teams to advise on project design, including design of the building, amenities, and floorplans to maximize purchase value.
- Build and establish a positive rapport with all marketing stakeholders (including hired consultants, vendors, advertisers etc.).
- Conduct research and stay up to date on industry/market trends and innovations which may be implemented to improve the value proposition of the portfolio.
- Report and present to Senior Management as required.
- Offer real-time perspective on industry trends and best practices; share insight and wisdom through presentations to key stakeholders including the firm’s partners, investors, and media contacts.
- Generate ideas and strategies for new development projects and internal processes that better enable the organization to achieve its goals.
- Be responsible for the professional development, performance evaluation, and general talent management of a first-class team.
- Hire and monitor consultants where appropriate.
- Manage relationships with clients and agents locally and globally.

**Academic/Professional Requirements**:

- Undergraduate degree in business, marketing, communication, real estate, or equivalent.
- Post-graduate degree in marketing or related field would be an asset.

**Required Skills / Experience**:

- 5+ years in a professional sales and/or marketing position in an active market (prefer 3+ years of that time spent in real estate sales or marketing).
- A strong, established professional network of agents/brokers in the pre-construction sales industry.
- A passion for developing innovative solutions to solve marketing problems.
- An established track record in leading and managing a diverse and skilled group of professions and in building high-performance teams, expanding capacity and scaling business for growth.
- Exceptional oral and written presentation skills to facilitate internal communication and being the “external face” of the company.
