**Title: Continuous Improvement Coordinator**

**Reports to: Operations Manager**
**Job Summary**
**Screenco is seeking an enthusiastic and energetic Continuous Improvement Coordinator to support the quality and continuous improvement teams at their respective manufacturing plants. Reporting to the Operations Manager, the Continuous Improvement Coordinator is responsible for implementation and maintenance of the Quality Management System relative to the production of products for a window and patio door screen manufacturer.**
**Responsibilities**:
**- Champion and facilitate continuous improvement projects using Lean Manufacturing tools**
**- Update quality KPI data daily, weekly, and monthly**
**- Must be able to effectively lead teams in the use of tools such as Poke-a-Yoke, Kaizen, Kanban, 5S**
**- Perform detailed root cause analysis (5 Whys and/or fishbone) on quality problems and assist with corrective and preventive action plans**
**- Assist in maintaining and updating a visual management system**
**- Update and develop SOPs across the organization**
**- Ensure all employees are trained on relevant SOPs, quality standards and health and safety expectations for the area in which they work**
**- Respond to customer quality concerns (SCARs) through the implementation of containment, root cause analysis and corrective actions**
**- Implement corrective actions and audit to ensure compliance**
**- Inspect incoming materials and issue manage supplier quality through corrective actions requests**
**- Develop quality control specification drawings for products**
**- Develop and support preventative maintenance plans for new product/processes/equipment**
**- Manage projects as assigned and develop project plans**
**- Provide regular project status update reports to Management**
**- Co-ordinate tooling/mold/system/product design reviews and/or changes**
**- Approve new products/processes/equipment based on product specifications and customer requirements**
**- Seek product approvals and signoffs from stakeholders**
**Abilities Required**
**- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial, Manufacturing or Mechanical Engineering**
**- Minimum five years’ experience in quality improvement in a manufacturing environment**
**- Must have strong working knowledge of Lean Manufacturing concepts**
**- ASQ Certified Quality Engineer preferred**
**- Six Sigma Green (required) or Black belt certification (asset)**
**- Familiarity with Quality System Standards such as ISO 9001:2000 / TL9000 requirements an asset**
**- AutoCAD experience required**
**- Experience with MS Visio, Solidworks is an asset**
**- Detail oriented and strong analytical skills **
**- Project management, planning and organizational skills**
**- Strong written and verbal communication skills**
**- Exceptional interpersonal skills**
**- Self-starter who works independently with mínimal supervision**
**- Effective working in a team environment**
**- Process oriented. Willing and able to work within the processes and get hands-on experience.**
**- Demonstrated aptitude for problem-solving**
**- Energetic individual with a proven track record of accountability and results**
