eHealth Saskatchewan is a Treasury Board Crown Corporation with a unique blend of healthcare, information technology, and citizen services.
A large and complex organization, eHealth is comprised of 30+ clinical and non-clinical program (service) areas that all work together to support health care providers and teams across the province in delivering the best possible care to patients, providers, citizens, and health system users. Programs range from primary care to acute care, and includes laboratories, pharmaceuticals, and diagnostics. Additional programs that also support patient care and information include Virtual Care, the MySaskHealthRecord, and the Provincial Electronic Health Record. eHealth is also responsible for the administration of various pieces of legislation to manage the registration of/changes to all vital event records (e.g. birth, marriage, death, etc.), registration of legal name changes, registration of adoptions, and for maintaining the provincial health registry for health services eligibility and distribution of health services cards.
The eHealth teams engage directly with health system partners and other stakeholders both provincially and federally to ensure all services are delivered efficiently and effectively.
**About the Role**:
Reporting to the Manager of Provider Services, the Assistant Manager, Provider Services, will demonstrate leadership and provide guidance and direction to colleagues in order to accomplish strategic goals. In addition, this position will also be responsible for facilitating applicable meetings with stakeholders to achieve the desired outcome. This role will be a member of various governance committees, representing eHealth Saskatchewan. You will have obtained a solid understanding of challenges and related opportunities in the business area and its impact on the continuum of care through previous work in collaboration with provincial stakeholders.
**Specific Responsibilities**:
- Acts as primary liaison on all initiatives relating to referral management.
- Supports the development of overall framework and provincial program policies to ensure ongoing quality controls for integrated clinical services, education and administrative services provided by referral management services.
- Anticipates, identifies, and develops the ongoing strategic direction for the program ensuring alignment with eHealth’s Strategic Plan.
- Oversees development and implementation of program initiatives to improve access to health services and deliver quality patient care.
- Works closely with leadership to analyze initiatives and prioritize for the program.
- Provides ongoing support, guidance, knowledge management and education for the program including Support and Admin, Management, Information Management, Clinical and Business Analysis.
- Able to communicate complex issues to senior managers and clinicians in an effective manner.
- Able to plan and balance diverse and conflicting workload pressures, and accomplish assigned tasks within established time frames and budget.
**Experience & Qualifications**:
- Program management experience with the proven ability to manage and deliver multiple projects related to a common strategic objective.
- Relevant healthcare sector experience in progressively senior roles.
- Several years of experience in a related management role.
- Strategic thinking with the ability to problem solve and come to innovative solutions.
- Demonstrated experience in health information technology and the client’s operations and business requirements.
- Demonstrated experience with communicating effectively, verbally and in writing, at a senior management level, and with senior clinical and administrative stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to develop long-term strategic plans and roadmaps that meet identified clinical and business requirements.
- Demonstrated ability to develop implementation plans to meet strategic objectives and initiatives.
The knowledge and skills required for this position would be attained through the completion of a post-secondary degree in business administration or a related clinical or technical field, healthcare administration or equivalent, supplemented by 4+ years of supervisory experience. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
