MD Financial Management Inc, a division of Scotia Wealth Management, has an exciting opportunity for a talented, enthusiastic, and client-focused Client Reporting Coordinator to join our team. As a Client Reporting Coordinator, you will be responsible for producing annual federal and provincial tax slips for all Registered products, the completion and submission of other tax filings, and providing support for tax remittances and other centralized transactions and processes related to Registered accounts. You will be required to execute the assigned processes to the highest standard, as per regulatory and legal requirements under the Income Tax Act (overseen by Canada Revenue Agency) and various provincial acts. **Is this role right for you? In this role you will**: - Review and process special withdrawals/transfers/transactions including refunds of excess contributions, marriage breakdown transfers, internal transfers, home buyer’s and lifelong learning withdrawals - Process all RESP transactions and reporting - Issue original and amended tax slips and process related filings with Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) and Revenue Quebec (MRQ) for Registered accounts - Review RESP reports to ensure that transactions processed adhere to Employment and Social Development Canada requirements - Manage, track and complete CRA Administrative Relief and Non-Qualified securities processess - Complete and submit all regulatory filings related to T550, T3GR, TFSA Information Return and Employee Benefit Plans - Support RESP transfer requests and resolve transfer inquiries - Understand how the Bank’s risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in day-to-day activities and decisions - Actively pursue effective and efficient operations of his/her respective areas in accordance with Scotiabank’s Values, its Code of Conduct, and the Global Sales Principles, while ensuring the adequacy, adherence to and effectiveness of day-to-day business controls to meet obligations with respect to operational, compliance, AML/ATF/sanctions and conduct risk - Act as the primary contact for all business lines **The Must Haves**: - University degree or College diploma, preferably with a financial background is an asset - 2 years’ experience in an administrative or clerical position, preferably within the financial services industry - Working knowledge of CRM2 is an asset - Bilingualism (French/English) is an asset **Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role? - We’d love to work with you if you have**: - A dedication to client service - Strong organizational skills - Strong attention to detail and follow-through skills - Excellent verbal and written communication skills - Demonstrated pro-activity, initiative, and resourcefulness - Ability to work independently or effectively within a team - Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast - paced environment - Ability to effectively manage change - Results-oriented - Sound capacity to assess, develop and monitor complex business processes **What’s in it for you?** - We are big proponents of life-work integration and provide the flexibility and tools to achieve such. - We believe an inclusive and diverse work environment makes for happy and productive employees. - We offer programs and benefits to support and sustain the mental and physical health of our employees and their families. - We offer competitive salaries and incentive programs, a defined contribution pension plan and an employee share option purchase program. - We offer generous paid time off programs - We offer a variety of preferred banking, credit card, mortgage and home/auto insurance options and discounts.
