**Job Overview**

This is a part-time, on-site role as a Course Instructor at UCMAS Glen Abbey, located in Oakville, ON.

As a Course Instructor, you will be responsible for teaching children the UCMAS program, which includes using the Abacus tool, mental arithmetic calculations, and developing visualization skills. You will guide and motivate students, monitor their progress, and provide feedback.

**Duties**
- Implement engaging lesson plans that meet curriculum standards and cater to diverse learning styles
- Deliver instructional content through various teaching methods, including classroom based instruction and hands-on activities
- Assess student performance and providing constructive feedback to support their growth.
- Create a supportive classroom environment that encourages student participation and fosters a love for learning
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance instructional practices and share resources.
- Stay updated on educational best practices and participate in professional development opportunities.

**Experience**
- Previous teaching or instructional experience is highly desirable and passion for working with children
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to engage with students, parents, and colleagues
- A passion for education and a commitment to student success are essential qualities for this role
- Strong mathematics and arithmetic skills
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Patience and ability to adapt teaching methods to individual students based on individual needs
- Attention to detail and ability to creatively follow lesson plans
- Ability to work in a team and collaborate with other instructors
- Experience with Abacus and/or mental arithmetic is a plus
- UCMAS graduate is preferred
