**SHIPPER/RECEIVER- Oshawa**

**Warehouse Shipper/Receiver, Oshawa Branch**:
The Shipper/Receiver will verify and keep records on incoming and outgoing shipments. Preparing items for shipments includes assembling, addressing, stamping, and shipping merchandise or material. Receiving items includes unpacking, verifying and recording incoming material, and arranging for transportation internally.

**Responsibilities include**:

- Examine contents and compare with records such as manifests, invoices, or orders to verify accuracy of incoming or outgoing shipments
- Prepare documents such as work orders, bills of lading, and shipping order to route materials
- Ability to do cycle counts as needed in each department
- Record shipment data including weight, charges, space availability, and damages and discrepancies for reporting, accounting, and record keeping purposes
- Deliver or route materials to departments using hand trucks, forklifts, or sorting bins
- Pack, seal, label, and affix waybills to prepare materials for shipping using hand and poser tools
- Welcome and greet customers
- Must be computer friendly, quick learner in fast paced environment
- Determine method of shipment; prepare bills, invoices and other shipping documents
- Assemble containers/crates, pack goods to be shipped and prepare identifying information and shipping instructions
- Receive shipments, inspect and verify incoming goods against invoices or other documents
- Receive and unpack goods; route goods to appropriate storage areas
- Maintain internal record-keeping system; for example - Tracking for Shipments, Tracking for Returns/Warranties etc.
- Must be able to document all tracking under a database (again computer friendly)

**Requirements**:

- Minimum 3 years’ prior experience
- Trained on use of forklift
- Able to complete simple mathematical calculations
- Communicate effectively in writing and verbally
- Excellent team player
- Strong planning abilities
- Self-motivated and adaptable to changing and multiple priorities with aggressive deadlines
- Computer literate with proficiency in Microsoft Applications
