**Job Purpose**

The Warehouse Lead Hand is responsible for ensuring that the company has an organized, well maintained and has optimal inventory level to meet customer orders in addition to a well-designed efficient and effective warehouse system that meets the brand and operational expectations. The Warehouse Lead Hand works in collaboration with the Warehouse Supervisor and Logistics & Warehouse Coordinator to create and maintain an environment that encourages and accomplishes an accurate inventory, and delivers on great internal and external customer service.

**Responsibilities and Duties**

The Warehouse Lead Hand responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:

- Ensure materials are delivered accurately and on time
- Ensure team members are picking materials accurately and efficiently so that shipment deadlines are met
- Communicate potential issues immediately to the Warehouse Supervisor and assist in determining solutions
- Identify and communicate issues that could create potential bottlenecks, and make recommendations and/or actions to improve the process flow
- Ensure the safety of the team is maintained at all times
- Ensure the warehouse is organized in a way that maximizes the space and accommodates the workflow in the most efficient way
- Ensure inventory is accurately accounted for
- Stage shipments to ensures loading and customer pickups can be handled promptly and effectively
- Effectively communicate process and demand adjustments
- Actively engage with the warehouse team to meet objectives
- Safe operation of production machinery and equipment
- Sorting, storing and freezing finished product and unused raw materials
- Recording inventory and reporting to management
- Completion of clean-up and sanitation check list
- Accurate packing and preparation of customers’ orders
- Professional and timely delivery of orders to retailers
- Execute training of new and existing associates
- Other tasks as assigned by your manager

**Working Relationships**
- This position leads the Warehouse team and works very closely with the Warehouse Supervisor and Logistics & Warehouse Coordinator.

**Competencies**
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in a warehouse environment
- Secondary School Diploma
- Forklift Operator Certificate an asset with a minimum of 3 years of experience.
- Effectively lead in the role and work as a team to meet warehouse daily goals.
- Physically fit with the ability to lift heavy materials.
- Ability to competently and effectively manage time to accomplish tasks and meet daily goals.
- Team player with the ability to coordinate work with fellow employees.
- Ability to safely use warehouse machinery.

**Physical & Working conditions**
- The work environment will be in a temperature-controlled warehouse.
