Mamakas Taverna is looking for a Barback to join our team

Location: 80 Ossington Ave.

Compensation: $15 an hour + weekly tip out

**Summary of responsibilities**:

- Assist bartenders, servers and management staff on the floor during operating hours to maintain overall flow of service
- Maintaining general cleanliness of the restaurant and its perimeters
- Set the bar up for efficient service
- Stocking all necessary glasses, utensils and dishes needed during service
- Constant maintenance of bus bins
- Clearing unnecessary plates and glassware from tables during and after guests leave
- Stocking the bar with all necessary products as required
- Cleaning, polishing glassware
- Checking washrooms and maintaining stock levels of all necessary products
- Respond to guests and their requests, promptly relaying to servers

**Qualifications**:

- Previous experience working in a full service restaurant (1 year)
- Strong attention to detail
- Highly responsible & reliable
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast paced environment
- Ability to work cohesively as part of a team
- Ability to focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all times
**Physical Aspects of Position (include but are not limited to)**:

- Constant standing and walking throughout shift
- Frequent lifting and carrying up to 30 lbs
- Occasional kneeling, pushing, pulling
- Occasional ascending or descending ladders, stairs and ramps
