We have a great opportunity available for a Dental Assistant on a part-time basis working one evening a week. Humberland Dental is a neighbourhood dental practice owned and operated by Dr. Markou. Our small team provides exceptional dental care and customer service to our patients which we often refer to as friends. We go above and beyond to help our patients and help each other in the practice. This is why we are looking for a professional with the right attitude just as much as having the right qualifications.

**Qualifications**:

- HARP Certified
- Level II Certified
- NDAEB License
- Member in good standing of the ODAA
- Current CPR Certificate

**Expectations**:

- Proficient and articulate in the English language - both verbal and written communication.
- Able to multi task, detail oriented in a time sensitive environment.
- Flexible regarding schedule and tasks.
- At least 1 year of experience as a Dental Assistant.
- Punctual and reliable.
- Computer savvy with at least 1 year experience in using Dentrix, Live DDM, Maxident, Tracker, etc.
- Outstanding interpersonal skills combined with incomparable customer service skills showing compassion, consideration, professionalism that exceed expectations of both our team and patients.
- Responsibilities:
- Assist Dr. Markou and hygienists as required, including, cleaning rooms between patients, taking x-rays, etc.
- Maintain clinical supply inventory, including, ordering supplies from vendors.
- Disinfect and sterilize instruments, trays and set up trays.
- Perform health and safety inspections as per government regulations.
- Provide reception relief or assist during busy periods, including, managing high volume of calls, confirming appointments, scheduling appointments, processing payments, etc.
- Updating logbooks, MSDS.
