**Role: Child Care Coordinator - Fort St. James**
**Wage**:$54,000.00 - $57,305.23 Annual Salary, plus Government Wage Enhancement

(currently $4.00 per hour for fully certified ECE’s)

**Benefits**:YMCA membership, paid sick days for yourself and family, 8% vacation pay

**Hours**:Full-Time, Monday to Friday
8:00am - 5:00pm (hours may vary to meet program needs)

**Location**:Fort St. James Care and Learning Centre

**Program**:
The YMCA is the largest not-for-profit provider of child care in Canada and the
YMCA of Northern BC is the largest provider in the north, serving: Chetwynd,
Dawson Creek, Fort St. James, Fort St. John, Prince George, Pouce Coupe,
Tumbler Ridge and Vanderhoof. YMCA Child Care is a home away from home.

**Responsibilities of this role**:

- Building relationships and providing exceptional customer service in a timely fashion
- Ensures that all programs are operating in compliance with the Child Care Licensing

Regulations and YMCA Child Protection Policies
- Work with their team to deliver high quality and age-appropriate programs based on the

YMCA Playing to Learn curriculum

- Maintain confidentiality of information related to the centre, children, families, and staff***
- Developing and distributing required documentation to necessary parties
- Working collaboratively with the rest of the Child Care Leadership team
- Engages and builds a team dedicated to excellence

**Qualifications**:

- Current and valid Early Childhood Educator License to Practice***
- Experience working with children in a child care/recreational setting***
- Experience in the development and leadership of an effective, engaged team an asset
- Current child care First Aid certificate or willingness to obtain***
- Satisfactory Criminal Record and Clear Vulnerable Sector Search
- Immunization record including TB test
- Three satisfactory professional references
