Vancouver GardenBox is a start up sized landscaping company, aiming to become one of the premier landscape maintenance providers in the Metro-Vancouver area, with an over-arching goal to increase the level of customer service and professionalism in the industry.

For this role, we are looking for an individual that has 1-3 years minimum of experience in landscaping/gardening. You will be responsible for working with 1-2 team members and also expected to work solo.

**Responsibilities**
- Manage your own property maintenance and project routes within allocated shifts.
- Day to day responsibilities: mowing and edging lawns, weeding garden beds, trimming hedges, pruning shrubs, small trees and other perennial plants as needed, installing mulch, soil, or gravel, plant installation and sod installation.
- Operating gas powered landscaping equipment such as: Stihl hedge and line trimmers, Honda mowers, Stihl backpack blowers and at times, chain saws.
- Proficiently use hand held gardening/landscaping equipment such as rakes, shovels, cultivators, loppers, hand pruners, shears and hand saws.
- Provide outstanding customer service by performing call-aheads, property walk throughs and asking for customer feedback reviews.
- Working with team members or autonomously, to manage allocated time at assigned properties and throughout a given daily route.
- Clean equipment and work trucks needed.
- Use company software, Jobber, to produce Customer Service Reports, internal notes and report time on property. Use Slack to communicate with team members and management through the day.

**Skills**
- Strong time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively in a busy environment.
- 1-3 years work experience at similar landscaping/gardening companies
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly demeanor and positive attitude.
- Knowledge of common plants and proper pruning techniques.
- Strong attention to detail, performing tasks efficiently while maintaining quality standards.
- Standard Class 5 BC Driver's license or international equivalent.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Seasonal
Contract length: 10 months

Pay: $23.00-$28.00 per hour
