- Our Painter/Steam Cleaner is responsible for the cleaning, prepping and painting of equipment and components efficiently while maintaining the paint booth and equipment.- Demonstrate safe, environmentally sound and healthy work behaviours at all times, in support of Toromont’s Health and Safety Policies, Programs and initiatives
- Operate the steam cleaner and maintain equipment and supplies as needed
- Support Contamination Control effects by maintaining a clean work environment
- Operate and maintain the paint booth, paint equipment and supplies
- Prepare, clean, sand, and/or mask areas on equipment that don’t require paint
- Supervise other team members in the operation of equipment and provide evaluations
- Ensure backorders and service jobs are painted with priority
- Support Contamination Control efforts by maintaining a clean work environment
- Provide assistance in the shop as required
- Job Qualifications:
- Solid experience in a service environment
- Highly safety conscious and able to efficiently operate a variety of cleaning and preparation of equipment
- Proven coaching skills with strong initiative and attention to detail
- Effective communication and strong interpersonal skills
- Self-starter, independent and a team player
- Strong organizational skills and be able to meet shipping deadlines
- Sense of urgency and adaptable to consistently changing priorities in a fast paced environment
- Willing and able to work flexible hours/shifts in support of the business needs
- A valid Ontario Driver's Licence with a clean Driver's Abstract
