The role
We have an exciting new opportunity for a Supervisor, Supply Chain Operations based in Edmonton Reporting to the Regional Supply Chain Operations Manager you will work closely with key business leaders to build positive relationships and implement supply chain strategies
A typical day
- Accountable to deliver the supply chain vision and operational strategies that drive efficiencies and cost savings
- Responsible for overseeing the general day to day operations of the local and regional warehouses and their staff
- Align, support and implement Shaw Lean concepts within all warehouses
- Collaborate with key stakeholders and business units including Sales, Customer Experience, Customer Care, Technical Operations, Marketing to achieve team objectives.
- Accountable for mentoring, coaching, developing and leading local and regional supply chain team members
- Collaborate in optimizing our warehouses and distribution network across Canada, including distribution centers, warehouses, storerooms, and other facilities
- Participate in product life cycle management to ensure new and existing products can be optimally integrated into the supply chain and capacity management activities.
- Improve supply chain flexibility while minimizing unplanned excess and obsolete inventory liability
- Achieve key performance indicators (KPIs) such as service level, Lean implementation, inventory accuracy and inventory turn targets
- Manage daily RFC Operations including inventory and equipment deployment for Shaw Business, Project Orders, Front Counter and Self Serve Replenishment, as well as Direct fulfillment
Your skills/experience
- PMAC or Supply Chain Management certification
- Minimum of 3 to 5 years experience in a Supply Chain Leadership role
- Green Belt certification an asset
- Experience in organizational change management
- Outstanding interpersonal skills and a proven track record of building and maintaining high performing teams
- Demonstrated experience in coaching and mentoring team members and leaders
- Ability to communicate and influence change
- Results oriented while being able to multi task in a past paced environment
- Excellent project and business planning experience
- Experience in identifying areas of improvement or adjusting existing work procedures and practices with creative and innovative solutions
- Strong problem-solving, time management, analytical and organizational skills
- Experience working with inventory management and a thorough understanding of the processes
- Proficient in Outlook, Word, PowerPoint & Oracle/WMS
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills - required
