Take food and drink orders from customers accurately and with a positive attitude.
- Make suggestions based on their preferences.
- Write patrons' food orders on order slips, memorize orders, or enter orders into computers for transmittal to kitchen staff.
- Engage with customers in a friendly manner.
- Knowledge of the menu, with the ability to make suggestions.
- Ensure tables are enjoying their meals and take action to correct any problems.
- Polishing cutlery and glasses and setting tables.
- Tidying and cleaning the dining area after closing time and cashing up
- Collect payments from tables.
- Prepare checks that itemize and total meal costs and sales taxes.
- Help food preparation staff when necessary. Cooperate and communicate with all serving and kitchen staff.
- Arrange table settings.
- Asks for customer feedback.
- Adhere to all relevant health department rules/regulations and all customer service guidelines.

**Food Server skills and qualifications**
- Strong memory to accurately recall menu items and their ingredients
- Polite and professional attitude towards customers and team members
- Excellent verbal communication abilities to engage in conversation and friendly rapport with customers
- Ability to quickly and logically solve problems that might arise
- Physical stamina for extended periods in a fast-paced environment
- Flexibility to work varying shift schedules, including weekends, nights, and holidays
- Effective attention to detail to ensure customer orders are correct
- Attention to cleanliness and safety
- Responsible and trustworthy
- High school diploma is a plus but not required

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: Up to $16.55 per hour

Expected hours: 4 - 40 per week
