Westcoast Family Centres, a trusted family-focused agency of 40 years, has been providing services in Vancouver, North Shore, and Tri-cities to families and children, is seeking passionate practitioners to become part of our vibrant team.

We are committed to exploring innovative methods to enhance our services for the community. Our fee-for-service counselling program will reinvest the revenue generated into the program to support individuals who are unable to afford these services through a low-to-no-cost scale.

Join our team as an independent contractor and enjoy a great fee split along with the flexibility to set your own hours. We’re here to support you with helpful administrative assistance, marketing to bring in new referrals, and professional exposure through our website. You’ll have access to Jane App, meeting rooms, and fully equipped playrooms among other useful things. Plus, we’re committed to helping you grow and succeed in a friendly and supportive environment.

**Skills You Bring**:

- Experience working with families and individuals who may present multiple service needs related to poverty, addictions, violence, child abuse or neglect, and mental health issues.
- Understanding of systemic, neurodiverse, and trauma impacts on clinical service delivery.
- Knowledge and experience in short term counseling using a range of conceptual framework/techniques and approaches, including but not limited to; person centered, solution focused and cognitive behavioral approaches.

**Requirements**:

- Master’s degree in Counselling Psychology, Social Work or a related field.
- Two (2) years recent related experience or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
- Membership in a professional association, RCC or equivalent (BCACC, CCC, RSW)
- Procure, maintain, and pay the costs of professional liability insurance with $2M coverage related to services.
- Pass Criminal Record Check.
- Additional training in child or expressive therapies an asset.
