The Team Lead will be responsible for overseeing Associates within the Recovery and Tribunal Affairs team. The Team Lead will provide guidance, support, and leadership to ensure the team meets or exceeds performance goals while maintaining a positive and collaborative work environment. They will also serve as the primary point of contact for team members, providing direction, resolving conflicts, and ensuring efficient operations.

**Responsibilities**:

- Extensive understanding of current/historic resident member accounts and ledgers, life cycle of a tenancy, defaults, move out process, bad debts and collections, residential tribunal affairs process, and Recovery and Tribunal Affairs team responsibilities.

**Team Leadership**:

- Lead, mentor, and motivate team members to achieve both individual and team performance goals.
- Conduct regular team meetings to communicate goals, expectations, and performance feedback.
- Foster a collaborative, positive work environment that encourages open communication and teamwork.
- Ability to understand and balance legislation with the business needs and providing solutions and direction.

**Performance Management**:

- Monitor and assess team performance, offering coaching and support where necessary.
- Provide regular feedback on performance, conduct performance evaluations, and set development plans.
- Address performance issues and help implement corrective actions as required.

**Task Management**:

- Assign tasks and projects to team members, ensuring that resources are utilized efficiently, and deadlines are met.
- Oversee the workflow and ensure team members are working productively and effectively.
- Ensure high-quality work output by reviewing deliverables and providing feedback.

**Problem Solving & Decision Making**:

- Act as a problem solver, resolving any challenges or conflicts and facilitating solutions.
- Make decisions about workload distribution, priorities, and team schedules.
- Proactively identifying and addressing issues and trends.
- Strong ability to effectively evaluate and make decisions in high conflict situations.

**Communication**:

- Act as a liaison between the team and upper management, ensuring team feedback, concerns, and successes are communicated effectively.
- Ensure clear and concise communication of company goals, policies, and procedures to the team.

**Training & Development**:

- Identify training needs and assist in the development of skills for the team.
- Support ongoing development through mentorship and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

**Reporting & Metrics**:

- Track key performance indicators (KPIs) and other metrics to measure team success and identify areas for improvement.
- Report team progress and outcomes to Senior Leadership, providing insights and recommendations.

**Experience and Educational Requirements**:

- 2+ years of experience in a leadership role, preferably in Operations
- Post secondary education

**Technical Requirements**:

- Exceptional writing proficiency, demonstrated through the ability to craft clear, persuasive, and well-structured communication
- Comprehensive understanding of, or aptitude for understanding of relevant legislation
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite

**Non-Technical Requirements**:

- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to motivate and manage a team effectively
- Problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure
- Excellent time management and organizational skills

**Additional Requirements**:

- Valid Driver’s License and Vehicle
