Hôpital Glengarry Memorial Hospital (HGMH) is a patient-centred primary care hospital that has been established in Alexandria, Ontario for over 50 years. HGMH provides acute care, complex continuing care, 24-hour emergency services, and rehabilitation to over 23,000 residents every year. Our team includes over 180 staff members, 50 Medical Staff members and 100 volunteers who all take pride in bringing quality health care to our local Eastern Ontario community.

**Job Summary**:
**_Responsibilities:_**

Provide frontline software support, addressing and resolving issues to minimize disruptions to hospital operations.

Implement and maintain automation processes to improve efficiency across IT operations.

Manage and monitor server systems, ensuring their reliability, performance, and security. (Primarily Windows, some Linux, vSphere, Horizon, VDI pools etc..)

Configure, and troubleshoot network systems, including LAN, WAN, and Wi-Fi configurations, routers, and switches. (Cisco and Fortinet)

Implement and oversee security measures for network and IT systems to protect sensitive hospital data. Engage and assist with staff training, as well as working with our security SOC. (Windows Defender, CrowdStrike)

Assist in the deployment of new technologies and systems, ensuring they meet the specific needs of healthcare services.

Provide on-call support for urgent IT issues, ensuring quick resolution to maintain critical hospital operations. (Rotating after hours emergency on call, compensated).

**Desired Skills and Experience**:

- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field. Equivalent experience would be acceptable.
- 1-3 years of experience in IT, with a focus on networking, security, and system administration.
- Familiarity with Microsoft 365, server environments, automation tools, and networking fundamentals.
- Basic understanding of IT security practices, including firewalls, antivirus, and intrusion detection systems.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. ??????
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a capacity to work well within diverse teams.
- Proactive attitude and willingness to take on multiple responsibilities in a dynamic environment.
- Helpful technology experience would include:

- Microsoft 365 administration, vSphere management, WDS, WSUS, Fortinet, CrowdStrike, Windows Defender, PSQ, Imprivata, Mitel and/or Meditech.
