Estimation Coordinator

**Position**

Marathon Underground is currently seeking a motivated and detail oriented, full time permanent **Estimation Coordinator/Junior Estimator** to join our dynamic team in Ottawa, Ontario. This role is ideal for individuals starting their career in construction estimating and interested in specializing in deep foundations works such as shoring systems, earth retention, and foundation support.

Marathon offers a comprehensive range of underground capabilities including trenchless construction (tunneling), support of excavation systems, deep foundations, vertical drilling (geotechnical, environmental, and exploration), grouting, and a broad variety of heavy civil works, including services to the mining industry.

Marathon provides a high-level of service to our clients due to our in-house engineering department. Marathon’s in-house engineering department provides value engineering and innovative solutions from conceptual design to project completion, including design build projects.

Marathon is headquartered in Greely (Ottawa), Ontario with offices across Canada (Sudbury, Toronto, Edmonton, Montreal, and Quebec City).

Evaluate tender documents, specifications, and drawings to determine the scope of work, download and organize bid files, maintain list of bidders, track submission timelines and addenda;
Review and organize geotechnical reports and site-specific data to support the estimating process;
Support preparation of tender packages, RFQs, Prequalification's, and internal handover documentation;
Participate in pre-bid meetings and site visits as needed;
Coordinate bid submissions, ensuring all deadlines and requirements are met;
Maintain estimate templates, cost databases, and bid tracking systems

**Essential Skills**

College diploma or University degree in Civil Engineering Technology, Construction Management, or a related discipline;
0-2 years of experience in construction estimating or coordination (experience with shoring, foundations, or civil works is an asset);
Ability to read and interpret civil, structural, and geotechnical drawings and specifications;
Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Teams, MS Office; experience with estimation software (e.g. B2W, or Bluebeam Revu) is an asset;
Understanding of construction methods related to deep foundations, excavation, earth retention, and temporary works;
Excellent attention to detail, with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities;
Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with a team.

French - not required, considered an asset.
