Cart Attendant/maintenance Clerk

We are seeking an individual for our Front-End that will be an asset to our team

**Responsibilities**:

- Proactively approach customers, ask if they need assistance loading purchases in their cars, offer to give or take shopping carts
- Collects abandoned shopping carts from various locations in and around the store and lot
- Pushes or pulls lines of carts to the cart bay
- Maintains shopping carts in neat and safe lines ensuring carts do not obstruct traffic.
- Cleans and tidies shopping carts.
- Maintains housekeeping standards for all entrance/exits of the store to ensure they are safe for customers.
- Maintains store cleanliness to appropriate standards
- Assist Front End team members as necessary to minimize customer wait time at check out
- Attend to maintenance issues if additional assistance is needed

**Qualifications/Experience**:

- The ability to meet the needs and demands of customers in a friendly, fast and efficient manner
- The willingness to work with others and respond quickly to change
- Ability to work with mínimal functional direction
- Must be able to take direction well and complete tasks within a deadline
- Must be able to stand for long periods of time
- Work tasks require bending, twisting, squatting and reaching.
- Must be able to lift using work safe guidelines
- Ability to work in a variety of weather conditions
- Available to work days and evenings on both weekdays and weekends.
- Previous retail and/or grocery experience an asset
