With over 15 diverse programs, The Link has a community of caring staff that work together to provide support through a 24-hour crisis line, youth resource centers, emergency shelters, mobile crisis teams, specialized foster care, healing homes, job readiness supports, and Skills4Life. With a strong foundation within the community and a focus on connection, unity, and compassion, the organization provides a vital link for youth and families in the province of Manitoba.

**About the Opportunity**

**Summary**

**Duties and responsibilities**:
As a practicum student, your duties and responsibilities will vary based on the program you will be placed within, however, it will also include, but is not limited to:

- A shown commitment to learning new things and receiving constructive feedback
- Gaining insight into how your theoretical knowledge will be applied practically
- Engaging collaboratively with participants, co-workers and supervisors
- Sharing ideas and thoughts with your on-site supervisor to provide more efficient service delivery of our programs
- Complete the post-practicum evaluation

**Education (Degree/Diploma/Certificate)**
- Participant must be a student in a recognized and accredited educational institution

**Conditions for acceptance**
- Emergency First Aid and CPR Level C, or willingness to obtain;
- Satisfactory Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Search, a clear Child Abuse Registry check with acceptable Prior Contact checks, and a clear Adult Abuse Registry check, all done within the last 3 months;

**Position status**: Full-time or part-time - dependent on required practicum program hours. We will only be accepting practicums from September to April yearly.

**Posting End Date**: Open until required number of students per department have been received
**Work Location**:Varies based on the program, potential locations include within Winnipeg, St. Pierre Jolys and Thompson, MB.
