Event Security Guards Required

Currently we are accepting Security applicants to join for work in Kelowna, Kamloops, Vernon, Penticton and other surrounding areas with ongoing events expected year round.

**Responsibilities**:

- Greeting and welcoming all guests in the area
- Conducting access control and traffic control
- Providing excellent customer service
- Coordinating & liaising with Police and other Emergency Service Providers as required
- Providing detailed reports including: occurrence reports, incident reports, and patrol reports as required.
- Reporting and documenting any safety hazards to the Operations Manager
- Crowd control and surveillance
- Managing any incidents that occur onsite

**Requirements**:

- Valid BC Security Worker's license (or ability to attain - temporary is okay)
- Must be able to stand/walk for an 8+ hr. period.
- Customer service experience and ability to provide excellent customer service
- Great communication skills, verbally and written
- Must be comfortable with radio communication
- Ability to handle a situation with a listening mindset
- Must be available evenings and weekends (and some holidays)
- Class 5 driver's license is required

**DO NOT HAVE SECURITY WORKERS LICENSE?**
- ** 90-day license program
- **Can work as a Security Guard at an event with a temporary 90-day license with simple procedure of criminal background checks. Having a 90 days license can help you kick start towards acquiring permanent security license.
- ** BST** (Basic Security training) leading towards acquiring permanent valid security license.
