Reporting into Aviva Canada’s Head of Internal Communications & Linguistics Services, you will have a meaningful role as a trusted Communications business partner.
What you’ll do:
Acting as a cross-functional Communications Business Partner:
- Assisting in the development and delivery of cross-functional internal communications strategies, tools and materials that support the goals and objectives of the company- Representing Communications at Functional Senior Leadership Team meetings, confidently presenting ideas to key collaborators, and asking the right questions to understand the agenda of the team/business.
Supporting Aviva Canada’s monthly live stream broadcast program - All Access:
- Building and aligning the editorial calendar with both interpersonal and team priorities- Identifying and securing program hosts/guests, ensuring they are fully briefed and prepared- Working with the Comms team to set up and run the equipment during program broadcast / podcast
Driving engagement through targeted communication:
Supporting Aviva Canada’s Channel Strategy through:
- Playing the analytics advocate role within the team for channel effectiveness and developing regular dashboards that highlight effectiveness and draw out important insights- Managing digital channels; developing conversion/growth strategies
What you’ll bring:
- Completed undergraduate or advanced college diploma in journalism, communications or public relations- At least three years in a corporate environment/PR agency, preferably in insurance, professional services or banking- Experience writing, proofreading and editing across a variety of platforms (bilingual is an asset)- Ability to develop internal communications strategies and implementing tactics to help maintain and strengthen company culture- Skill/tact in dealing with people at all levels of the organization- Ability to work as a standout colleague in a dynamic, fast-paced environment- Knowledge of Microsoft Office and industry-standard tools- Proven ability to prioritize tasks based on relative importance and urgency- Works well under pressure and can effectively and expertly handle tough issues in a complex, matrix organization- Strong presentation skills and the ability to communicate with professionals at all levels within the firm- Keen to learn, grow and develop both personally and professionally- The abilities to laugh at yourself, have fun and adapt to different situations are necessary.
