**Overview**:
As a Meat Cutter Assistant, you will the Meat Cutters with day-to-day duties and provide cleanup throughout the day and a final clean at the end of the day.

**Responsibilities**:

- Assist Meat Cutters with products, such as cryovacing sub-primal, processing/cutting marinade products. (marinade steaks, chicken marinades, various patties and kabobs.)
- Packaging and prepping various meats for retail, cutting wings and packaging beef grinds.
- Washing Dishes/Utensils & General Daily Cleanup and refilling sinks every 3 hours.
- End of day cleanup: Spraying and Sanitizing cutting room and equipment: cutting tables, barrows and bins, grinders, bandsaws, tenderizers, slicers and cryo machines.
- Organize and put away poultry and pork orders in designated areas.
- Prepare, package, record and complete kitchen, deli, customer and wholesale orders.
- Rotate all product and follow first in and first out procedures.
- Pressure wash/clean cooler, storage and loading bay rooms.
- Organize cooler and storage rooms, empty recycle bins and garbage. Break down cardboard.
- Follow all company safety protocols and food safe procedure. Use necessary safety gear and equipment. Clean spills and use signs, pick up straps and tripping hazards, etc.

**For this position you will need**:

- At least one year of relevant working experience.
- To have an upbeat and friendly attitude. Be able to follow set instructions accordingly.
- To have great work ethic in a fast-paced team environment.
- The desire and ability to perform and complete tasks in a reasonable time frame.

**Working Conditions & Physical Requirements**:

- Working in refrigerated/freezer areas and with hot/cold water
- Working with raw meat (Fresh/Frozen)
- Working with sharp knives, cutting tools and grinders
- Must wear steel toed boots, apron and smock. Boots for cleanup
- Lifting/moving beef carcasses

Pay: $17.40-$18.00 per hour
