**Position Title: Line Cooks**
Accountable To: Kitchen Manager/Chef
**Essential Duties**:
- Insure that all areas of the kitchen are mainteined in a clean safe manner following Brand and BC Health guidelines. Regularly monitiors food temperatures, coolers and staff procedures for compliance with health code regulations and provide regular feed back and corrective action.
- Maintains documentation of use by dates, temperature logs, received dates etc.
- Follow all Brand Standards for food preperation, quality and costs.
- Produces a quality product timely and efficiently for guests and staff.
- Prepares, seasons, and cooks a wide variety of meats, vegetables, soups, breakfast dishes, and other food items in accordance with prescribed recipes.
- Slices, grinds, and cooks meats and vegetables using a full range of cooking methods.
- Checks supplies and prep lists and ensures all items are prepped in a timely fashion.
- Replenishes service lines as needed - includes restocking and prepping station for the next shift.
- Complies with all health and safety codes in handling and storage of all food products and kitchen equipment. Follows the hotel Food Safe Plan and Sanitation Plan.
- Follows all company policies, regulations, and standards as set by the Company.
**Safety & Security**
- Maintain awareness of undesirable persons on property premises.
- Ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional and maintain confidentiality of proprietary information
**Physical Requirement**
- Must be familiar with the operation of kitchen equipment.
- Strong knife skills required.
- Must be able to multi-task, maintain composure and work efficiently during periods of high volume and stress.
- Ability to multi-task and satisfactorily accomplish tasks as directed
**Education & Experience**
- Line cook experience in high volume kitchens required.
- Must have general knowledge of all areas of food preparation, specifically cooking temperatures, making soups & sauces, preparing entrees, vegetable preparation and a la carte cooking.
- Must be knowledgeable in plate presentation - depth, flavor, and guest needs.
- Should be able to communicate, read and write clearly and effectively.
- Good organization and communication skills required.
**Salary**: $20.00-$24.00 per hour
