- **BASIC FUNCTION**:_Provides assistance to customers in fulfilling their orders, inspecting merchandise and making returns. Pulls orders from stock, loads orders onto delivery trucks and unloads stock as it comes in; maintains work area in clean and orderly manner.**RESPONSIBILITIES**:
_
- Provides shipping and receiving assistance to customers on orders and returns.
- Must successfully pass company-provided forklift operator training program and maintain “authorization” through safe operation and following of procedures.
- Operates forklift to load and unload trucks as directed by supervisor.
- Assists truck drivers in loading merchandise and materials ensuring it is safely and properly handled to prevent damage.
- Assists truck drivers in unloading of and returning of credit items. Ensures these items are returned to proper storage location and saleable condition.
- Unloads incoming freight and checks count against purchase order to see if it is correct.
- Completes necessary reports, i.e., checks orders filled, checks material received and forklift inspections sheets.
- Keeps work area clean and litter free.
- Performs duties in a safe manner observing safe procedures while constantly alert to any unsafe working conditions.
- Loads and safely handles customer orders.
- Maintains knowledge of proper identification of inventory items.
- Locates and pulls correct items by type, style and quantity as directed by supervisor to fill order completely, quickly and with accuracy.
- Assists supervisor, other employees and other work areas as needed.
- One (1) mandatory Saturday every year for inventory (Last weekend of July before Civic Holiday weekend).
- Rotating day/evening shifts
- **EDUCATION**:_High school diploma or general equivalency degree (GED).
- **EXPERIENCE**:_6 months experience operating forklift or similar equipment.
- **SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE & ABILITIES**:_
- Ability to do basic math, read instructions and complete forms.
- Communicate with customers, other employees and supervisors using verbal & written skills.
- Knowledge and ability to use safe lifting techniques.
- Required to wear Personal Protective Equipment as prescribed in designated areas.
- **PHYSICAL DEMANDS**:_
- Strength (lift, carry, push and pull): Maximum lift, 100 lbs.; Frequently lift/carry up to 50 lbs.
- Must be able to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, reach, with manual dexterity and see (acuity, depth perception, field of vision, accommodation).
- Reach over head to grasp materials.
- **ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL WORKING CONDITIONS**:_
- Work outside in temperatures ranging from extreme heat to extreme cold.
- Work with mechanical equipment on daily basis.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $23.00-$27.50 per hour

**Experience**:
