**Job Purpose**:
**Responsibilities**:

- Prepare correspondence to customers, internal booking reports and accurately maintain sales activity records and documenting all bookings in the CI/TY Marriott system
- Prepares Proposals and Contracts. Responds to all inquiries in a timely manner.
- Finalizes all group bookings as assigned. Once assigned, reviews sales bookings, communicating with client on all aspects of conference/meeting (detailing) and preparing detailed Banquet Event Orders for distribution.
- Ensure that all conferences, meetings and group activities are coordinated and managed within the client's expectations.
- Organizes and distributes all Banquet Event Orders (BEOs) to departments. Communicates all changes effectively to control labor and food costs.
- Acts as liaison between Sales & Catering Department and other departments such as Banquets Team, Front Desk etc.
- Work with other departments within the hotel to provide exceptional service to guests
- Assists clients while on site at appropriate times
- Fosters relationships and visibility with suppliers, event and third party planners in order to increase business levels.
- Other administrative duties and responsible as assigned
- Due to the cyclical nature of the hospitality industry, employees may be required to work varying schedules to reflect the business needs of the hotel. In addition, attendance at all scheduled training sessions and meetings is required

**Education and Experience**:

- Must possess 1 to 2 years of sales and/or catering coordinator experience in a full service hotel or conference facility
- Completion of a diploma or degree from an accredited university in Hotel and Restaurant Management, Hospitality, Business Administration, or related major; required
- Must possess computer skills, including, but not limited to, Microsoft Word, Excel, sales/catering and/or hotel related operating system
- Experience working with CI/TY system is preferred
- Ability to convey information and ideas clearly.
- Knowledge of food and beverage menus, food preparation and presentation.
- Ability to communicate customer needs and resolve complaints independently.
- Ability to work well in stressful, high pressure situations.
- Ability to act independently with mínimal or no supervision.
