Calgary, Canada Ambyint Full time

As a **Product Manager** focused on Plunger Lift Optimization at Ambyint, you will report to the Chief Technology Officer (CTO) and play a critical role in driving cross-functional projects that enhance the performance, reliability, and scalability of our artificial lift optimization platform. In this role, you’ll lead key programs and initiatives that specifically support the development and continuous improvement of our plunger lift solutions.

You’ll be responsible for aligning stakeholders across engineering, product, customer success, and field teams—bringing structure and clarity to complex workflows. You’ll lead planning efforts, manage interdependencies, and track progress from kickoff through delivery, ensuring that milestones are met and communication is seamless. Your strong organizational skills and ability to drive stakeholder alignment will directly impact how quickly and effectively we bring new plunger lift innovations to our customers.

We’re looking for a clear communicator and structured thinker who thrives in collaborative environments—someone who can connect the dots, resolve roadblocks, and ensure everyone is moving toward the same goal.

**WHAT YOU'LL DO**
- Drive the execution of cross-functional projects focused on plunger lift development and optimization
- Report progress, risks, and decisions clearly to the CTO, balancing technical and operational perspectives
- Coordinate across multiple stakeholders and team—including product, software development, data science, leadership, and external partners—to ensure alignment on scope, timing, and deliverables
- Manage grant programs including associated deliverables, budget, and stakeholder management
- Own project planning, milestone tracking, risk management, and status reporting
- Bring structure and clarity to complex initiatives by developing and maintaining project roadmaps, documentation, and communications
- Facilitate regular touchpoints, retrospectives, and decision-making sessions to maintain momentum and transparency
- Use tools like Jira and Confluence to manage workflows, track dependencies, and drive accountability
- Identify process improvements to help scale our plunger lift solutions more efficiently across the organization and to customers
- Own the product lifecycle end-to-end - from discovery and requirements gathering through development, deployment, and iteration, ensuring solutions are built with user needs and technical feasibility in mind

**QUALIFICATIONS**
- 3-5 years of experience in project or program management, ideally in energy tech, SaaS, or industrial IoT
- Exceptional organizational skills and a strong ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
- Proven experience aligning technical and non-technical stakeholders, with strong written and verbal communication skills
- Comfortable working in ambiguity and bringing clarity through structured planning and facilitation
- Proficient in Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) and tools like Jira and Confluence
- Proven experience as a project or product manager in a technology-driven environment, with a track record of delivering complex initiatives in energy tech, SaaS, or industrial IoT settings
- Familiarity with artificial lift systems, particularly plunger lift, is a strong asset

**WHAT SETS YOU APART**
- The gratification of a job well done comes from creating clarity and momentum where others see complexity.
- You’re driven by keeping things organized, aligned, and moving forward—always delivering on your commitments.
- Your strength lies in bringing people together and building trust across diverse teams.
- You thrive in collaborative spaces, where great communication is just as important as great ideas.
- You bring calm to the chaos and clarity to the conversation.
- You listen closely, speak with intention, and tailor your message to your audience.
- You care deeply about outcomes—not just deliverables—and work to ensure every stakeholder is truly on board.
- You are naturally curious, growth-minded, and never settle for “good enough.”
- You value feedback as a tool for refinement, not a sign of failure.
- You don’t chase the spotlight—you lead through service, accountability, and action.
