**What does the Community Support Services team do?**
Our Community Support Services team, which is primarily funded by governments, provides essential services that enable people to live as independently as possible. Whether the disability is physical, cognitive or the result of brain injury or aging, our team of 1,600 employees assists people in their homes and communities, helping them gain a greater level of functioning and connection with others. Over the past year, the number of people we serve rose to more than 6,100 people.
**This Opportunity**
We are currently looking to fill a Full-Time, permanent Scheduling Payroll Assistant (Service Delivery Worker - SDW) role in our North East Region, **Sault Ste. Marie**, ON
**Duties include the following**:
- The SDW worker has primary responsibility to develop and implement a master computerized schedule in accordance with clients service plans, budgeted hours and staff availability for Supervisor approval. Hours can be in the form of permanent bookings, and short notice bookings. This requires that a Master Schedule is developed in conjunction with Clients, Community Support Leaders and Supervisor.
- The SDW position is responsible for payroll accuracy prior to submission to the payroll department including for example, coding for hours worked/paid, travel time, and mileage accuracy.
- The SDW is involved in client planning and must have a strong ability to problem solve with regard to an individual’s booking schedule. The SDW needs to have a high degree of understanding that each entry into the system impact the end result.
- Accuracy is essential and the Service Delivery Worker must be able to manage multiple priorities, possess strong communication and problem solving skills and seek direction as required.
- The SDW must be flexible to the changing demands of the job, manage workload and work area in a healthy and safe manner, and manage change in a constructive and positive fashion.
- Customer service, diplomacy, conflict resolution and problem solving are key skills required in this position. The SDW has access to highly confidential information and must not breach confidentiality.
- Work safe according to WHMIS, Occupational Health & Safety (OH&S) laws, regulations, MODC policies and procedures.
**Background / Qualifications**:
- Knowledge and abilities in scheduling and organizing
- Attention to detail, accuracy and organization skills
- Knowledgeable with MS-Office software (word, excel, outlook)
- Experience working with older adults, adults with age related health conditions, and/or disabilities.
- Ability to work flexible and regularly scheduled hours
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, working with a team
- Must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 by receiving all required doses of a vaccine approved by Health Canada at least 14 days prior to the start of employment
