**Job Summary**:
You will be responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and sanitation of our kitchen, playing a key part in maintaining a smooth and safe culinary environment. You'll work closely with our talented culinary team, providing essential support to keep our kitchen running seamlessly.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Load, run and unload the dish machine.
- Keep the dish machine clean and report any functional or mechanical problems immediately.
- Monitor dish machine water temperature to ensure sanitary wash cycle.
- Wash and store all tableware and kitchenware.
- Keep dish room clean and organized.
- Maintain adequate levels of clean tableware for dining room and kitchen.
- Responsibly bag and transport dish room trash to the designated disposal area according to schedule.
- Handle tableware carefully to prevent breakage and loss.
- Maintain adequate levels of dish detergents and cleaning supplies.
- Deliver and replenish staff meals in the staff room and ensure the cleanliness of the serving area in the staff room.
- Clean food preparation and production areas as required.
- Be available to fill in as needed to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the restaurant as directed by the Executive chef or immediate supervisor.
- Stock supplies such as food and utensils in serving stations, cupboards, refrigerators, and salad bars.
- Wash dishes, glassware, flatware, pots, and/or pans using dishwashers or by hand
- Maintain kitchen work areas, equipment, and utensils in clean and orderly condition.
- Perform general and special cleaning duties throughout the kitchen as required, including sweeping and mopping floors, and ensuring hand sinks are clean, stocked with paper towels, and have hand soap.

**Skills & Qualifications**:

- The ability to work efficiently and effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to cleanliness.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work well within a team.
- No previous restaurant experience required. We are happy to train individuals who are eager to learn.
- Familiarity with WHIMS is as asset.
