The position will have plenty of growth opportunities, whether in broadening the scope of “internal” projects to include non-billable initiatives happening at business unit levels or being involved with external (i.e., client) project oversight.
The initial focus will be set on key corporate sponsored engagements meant to help improve Alithya's efficiency. The role will focus on establishing SOPs (standard operating procedures) for three distinct phases of internal projects:
- Project Ideation, Documentation, Prioritization, and Selection;
- Project Execution;
- Post Project Execution.
**Project Ideation, Documentation, Prioritization and Selection**:
- Develop, document, and implement the operation of the project portfolio management framework and ensure they are well understood across the team;
- Define a formal internal project lifecycle from ideation to execution while going through proper documentation, business case preparation, presentation to the investment committee, approval, etc.;
- Develop policies, standards, and guidelines to ensure efficiency in project delivery and compliance with organization standards;
- Define and Implement a formal project intake and gating/approval process;
- Maintain a repository of internal projects;
- Guide project sponsors through the project approval process;
- Ensure project/initiatives are properly documented before being submitted for approval;
- Establish proper governance bodies needed to support the project approval process and project tracking (i.e., investment committee, steering committee, etc.).
**Project Execution**:
- Develop, maintain and present a monthly dashboard providing internal project updates (assumes establishment of proper KPIs);
- Monitor and track all major ongoing internal projects having received formal approval and budget;
- Implement and promote a formal project delivery methodology to ensure compliance requirements are met;
- Monitor and control project execution performance:
- Oversee the status of project deliverables;
- Oversee the delivery cycle to make sure that projects stay on time, within budget, and within scope;
- Provide support to project managers in order to ensure smooth delivery, consistent reporting, and project success.
- Portfolio management:
- Ensure that the available funds are being used optimally;
- Ensure that internal project inter-dependencies and constraints are anticipated, understood, and managed.
**Post Project Execution**:
- Track ROI;
- Monitor benefits.

Does this sound like you?
- Minimum of eight (8) to ten (10) years of experience as a seasoned PM in the industry;
- Extensive experience in developing and implementing a project management framework/governance model;
- PMP certification;
- Proven experience within a PMO role with several years of relevant experience defining and implementing processes, project governance frameworks, and related policies, standards, and procedures;
- Ability to manage multiple projects while also interacting with multiple project teams;
- Strong leadership skills;
- Experience in presenting to C-suite level management;
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
- Experience with and in-depth knowledge of Waterfall, Agile, and Scrum iterative methodologies;
- Strong attention to details and technicalities;
- Excellent organizational and technical skills;
- Good interpersonal and multi-tasking skills;
- Fluently bilingual (French and English), both written and spoken;
- Experience in MS Office Suite, including MS Project;
- Familiarity with:
- MS teams/SharePoint as a data repository;
- Workflow tools such as PowerApps, etc.
- Communication with teams in French and English. Level expected:
- French: 4/4
