**Position overview**:
The Automotive Parts Manager is responsible for managing the parts department's operations, including inventory management, ordering, and customer service. This role requires strong organizational skills, a deep understanding of automotive parts and accessories, and the ability to lead a team effectively.

**Key responsibilities**:

- Oversee the daily operations of the parts department, ensuring efficiency and profitability.
- Oversee daily parts inventory, including ordering, stocking, and tracking parts.
- Maintain accurate records pf parts transactions, inventory levels, and suppliers’ information.
- Maintain inventory management practices to minimize costs and maximize profitability.
- Provide exceptional customer service by assisting customers and service technicians with parts inquires and orders.
- Train, supervise, and support parts department staff, promoting a collaborative and productive work environment.
- Negotiate with suppliers to obtain the best prices and terms for parts and accessories.
- Work with Service Manager to ensure a timely turnaround for parts needed for jobs.
- Develop, enforce, and monitor guidelines for working with customers to ensure maximum customer satisfaction.
- Handle customer complaints immediately and according to Company standards.
- Monitor and adjust inventory to minimize obsolescence and balance inventory levels.
- Set and enforce policy on special ordering of parts.
- Analyze department operations and storage layout and revise as needed.
- Coordinate a prompt, efficient and timely flow of paperwork, particularly parts sales quotes, issuance of credit notes, counter ticket filing and purchase order matching.
- Assist in the collection of past due accounts when required.
- Ensure that parts department is kept clean and organized.

**Requirements**:

- Valid driver’s license
- Fluent in French and English is an asset
- Previous experience in automotive parts or similar roles
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Strong knowledge of automotive parts, accessories, and inventory management.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking skills.
- Effective leadership and team management abilities.
- Ability to implement changes in the department.
