**Job Summary**

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Prepare and cook authentic Afghan dishes such as kabuli pulao, mantu, ashak, kebabs, qorma, and traditional breads.
- Ensure all meals are prepared with consistent quality, flavor, and presentation.
- Develop and update Afghan-inspired menus to attract and satisfy customers.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized kitchen environment in compliance with food safety regulations.
- Manage food inventory, portion control, and minimize waste.
- Train and supervise kitchen staff in Afghan cooking techniques and food preparation.
- Monitor kitchen operations to ensure efficiency and timely service.
- Collaborate with management to plan special events, catering menus, and seasonal dishes.
- Uphold traditional Afghan cooking methods while being open to modern adaptations when needed.
- Ensure halal food preparation standards are followed at all times.

**Qualifications**:

- Proven experience as a chef or cook specializing in Afghan cuisine.
- Strong knowledge of Afghan spices, ingredients, and traditional cooking techniques.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Commitment to maintaining high standards of hygiene and food safety.

Pay: $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
