We are currently seeking an Irrigation Tech full time
In your roll you will:
- Follow the direction of Management
- Install, inspect, and repair irrigation systems, including pipes, valves, pumps, sprinklers, and timers.
- Adjust and program irrigation controllers to ensure efficient water usage.
- Diagnose and fix leaks, broken sprinkler heads, or faulty electrical components.
- Conduct routine maintenance to prevent system failures.
- Ensure compliance with water conservation regulations.
- Work with landscape teams, property managers, or agricultural workers.
- Keep records of repairs, schedules, and water usage.
- Keen eye for detail, and deficiencies in assets
- Use of Safety Apps, and various apps required for the job
- Two-way communication
- Operate all equipment in a safe and efficient way according to all relevant legislation, policies, and procedures.
- Participate in Health and Safety. Incident reporting, Practice workplace safety and use all required PPE (Personal Protective Equipment)
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Class 5 license with clean abstract.
- Experience with irrigation system installation and repair (above and below ground).
- Proficient in system startups.
- Experience in adding and removing zones, and zone time setting.
- Knowledge of drip lines, electrical wiring, plumbing, and water pressure systems.
- Experience in system winterization & spring start ups
- Ability to read blueprints and schematics.
- Troubleshooting skills to diagnose issues and repair systems efficiently.
- Physical stamina for outdoor labor and lifting heavy equipment.
- Understanding of smart irrigation technology (preferred).
- Certifications like Certified Irrigation Technician (CIT) (preferred but not always required).
