**Assistant Controller**

**Position Overview**

Lambert Nemec Group is partnering with a growing and dynamic organization to recruit an Assistant Controller. This role is ideal for a CPA or finance professional currently in public accounting who is ready to transition into private business finance, take on broader responsibilities, and gain hands-on exposure to financial reporting, FP&A, and operational finance.

You will work closely with senior leadership to drive financial insights, support decision-making, and influence business growth, all while building your career. **Key Responsibilities**
- Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and FP&A initiatives to provide actionable insights to leadership
- Partner with business units to translate financial data into meaningful analysis and recommendations
- Assist in the development, implementation, and maintenance of financial processes, internal controls, and reporting procedures
- Participate in ad-hoc financial projects and special initiatives, providing analytical support and insight
- Collaborate with external auditors, accountants, and consultants as needed
- Help build and maintain financial dashboards and performance metrics to monitor business health
- Support process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and reporting capabilities

**Requirements**:

- 1-4 years of experience in public accounting or audit, ideally with exposure to financial reporting, advisory, or client accounting services
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- Ability to communicate financial concepts clearly to non-financial stakeholders
- Comfortable working in a small to mid-sized organization with varied responsibilities and exposure to multiple aspects of finance
