**Job Position Summary**
The Accounts Receivable Clerk is a key individual to the accounting department who provides back-end support relating to creating invoices, entering sales, payment processing, and job closing. A significant role of the Accounts Receivable Clerk is overseeing and tracking the collection of overdue accounts of our clients in a professional and respectful manner.
**Job Duties and Responsibilities**
- Create accurate sales invoices for clients based on approved estimates and breakdowns
- Record sales in accounting database and periodically verify and reconcile to jobs database
- Monitor and track aged accounts detailing issues or complications with files
- Take appropriate steps such as collection services to deal with difficult clients
- Report to management problems with collecting payments from clients
- Process credit card payments over the phone and deposit checks at the bank
- Reconcile direct deposit payments to accounting database
- Coordinate with Project Managers about various issues to ensure job information is appropriately complied before issuance of invoices
- Develop and maintain professional relationships with both insurance and private clients
- Close jobs in database and ensure necessary documentation is maintained
- Assist office management with various administrative tasks when needed
- Cross-train with other positions in order to ensure adequate coverage and support for the department
- Support implementation of office procedures contribute to the overall team effort and attitude
**Qualifications**
- Completion of Grade 12
- Minimum 2 years experience in office administration
- Post-Secondary education in bookkeeping/accounting in an asset
- Proficient with Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
- Ability to multi-task and work independently
- Accurate data-entry with a strong attention to detail
**Salary**: $22.00-$24.00 per hour
Additional pay:
- Overtime pay

**Experience**:
- Accounts receivable: 1 year (preferred)
