The Program Manager supporting Fleet Transactions is responsible for working on significant corporate programs that involve the introduction and delivery of aircraft into Air Canada. The Manager's key role is to lead, manage and ensure alignment of all technical, contractual, financial and program aspects of aircraft projects working with operations, maintenance, product design and finance branches, as well as relevant third parties, to ensure timely accomplishment of project deliverables related to Fleet Transactions.

**JOB DESCRIPTION**:

- Manage programs linked to new aircraft deliveries, manage the Air Canada team, work with aircraft Original Equipment Manufacturer's (OEM'S) and Buyer Furnished Equipment (BFE) vendors
- Work with sponsors, stakeholders and key suppliers to define and implement program structure, scoping, budget and planning, change management, trouble reporting, issue tracking, status reporting and other key functions
- Manage new aircraft programs on time and within budget, lead aircraft activities at various stages of negotiation with suppliers
- Ensure all obligations in OEM and BFE vendor contracts are aligned with new aircraft delivery plans
- Lead and develop new aircraft specifications with input from relevant stakeholders throughout the company
- Point of contact for OEM contracts to modify aircraft in the operating fleet
- Participate in budget activities, and take the lead in obtaining project funding approval
- Provide direction and support for aircraft delivery and return team members
- Monitor and report on progress related to programs and achieving targets
- Ensure integration and alignment of cross-functional teams
- Ensure proactive escalation to remove obstacles and prevent adverse consequences such as significant delays or unexpected cost overruns.

**Qualifications**
- Program Management experience
- Contract Management experience
- Supplier / Customer Management experience
- University degree in a relevant field of study is an asset (business, commerce, information technology, engineering)
- Experience in the airline or related industries is an asset
- Strong background in managing multiple programs and deliverables
- Strong technical understanding of commercial aircraft
- Knowledge of aircraft manufacturing, aircraft maintenance, regulatory and certification processes is an asset
- Experienced in contract negotiations is an asset
- Excellent interpersonal skills, ability to communicate effectively and the ability bring teams together under a common objective.
- Ability to meet deadlines, work under pressure and shift priorities as dictated by the business environment
- Self-starter with solid business acumen, able to work under mínimal supervision
- Excellent analytical abilities and computer skills (Word, Excel and Outlook)
- Excellent verbal and written communication in English and efficient in French
- Ability to cope with irregular and/or multiple work demands
- Ability to travel as required
