- Participate in instructor led orientation of new students in person.
- Deliver instruction that meets module and program objectives, as set out in the Manitoba Health Services curriculum face-to-face and/or online settings
- Participate in the development and evaluation of curriculum and instructional materials
- Prepare course outlines and teaching materials
- Evaluate student progress; generate, administer and mark student coursework and exams
- Monitor and discuss students’ progress at both an individual and group level
- Assign and post grades
- Hold consultations with weaker students to enhance learning
- Address attendance issues or other problems as they arise
- Administer reference and criminal checks as required *Skills / Abilities:*
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Presentation and group facilitation skills
- Ability to motivate, engage and inspire students
- Relevant industry skills and knowledge relating to the area of instruction, including ongoing professional development and continuous improvement.
- High standards of behaviour, a professional attitude and commitment to quality service.
- Ability to work cooperatively with other instructors and staff.
- Learn and use technology to enhance the student learning experience. *Required Education / Experience:*
- Related diploma or degree from a recognized post-secondary institution
- Health Care Aide Certification
- 3+years' experience as an Health Care Aide
- 3+years' experience as an LPN or RN
- LPN or RN active License
