**SITE SUPERINTENDENT**

**ABOUT PLACEMAKER.**

With a pipeline of diverse and exciting projects in various municipalities within the Lower Mainland, we are seeking a Site Superintendent with experience in wood-frame mixed-use projects.

**YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES.**
As an experienced Senior Site Superintendent, you lead all on-site construction activity and ensure successful completion of projects in line with plans and specifications - all while ensuring safety standards are always met.

You demonstrate forward-thinking problem-solving skills as well as your ability to coach and negotiate when needed for best results. You possess strong interpersonal skills which enables collaboration between all stakeholders, so the project is completed within time and budget.

Your day-to-day will include the following:

- Manage all construction activity and ensure successful completion of projects in line with plans and specifications.
- Review and maintain documentation and drawings, complete daily site logs, issue POs, issue RFI’s, and record project photos.
- Manage all required consultant, municipal and provincial inspections.
- Review and enforce sub-contractor contracts and identify discrepancies in scopes of work.
- Monitor expenditures effectively, review invoices and SOV’s in detail, and assist the Project Manager to manage labour and material costs according to the project budget.
- Supervise and develop site staff through regular feedback, training, and coaching.
- Order materials and equipment and request sufficient manpower from trade contractors throughout the project to maintain schedule and productivity.
- Maintain construction schedules and advise project team of potential problems, work interferences, and scheduling difficulties or deviations from the overall schedule, and assist in resolving any conflicts.
- Promote a safe and healthy work environment for all personnel on site, monitor safety performance, and oversee the CSO.
- Conduct all site meetings including on site construction coordination meetings with team members and contractors and provide direction and guidance when needed.

**YOUR QUALIFICATIONS**[SDS2]**
- 5+ years as a Site Superintendent working on wood-frame low rise multi-family projects.
- Experience Supervising projects from excavation, all the way through occupancy.
- Team player and a natural leader with a commitment to excellence.
- Resourceful, independent, and solution-oriented.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Knowledgeable in MS Outlook, MS Word, MS Excel and MS Project.
