Our client, a financial services and digital payments company, is seeking a **Lab Technician.**

This position is an **on-site 6-month contract.** You must be able to work in **Toronto, ON.** The hourly rate is **$48.10** + paid holidays through Talent Table.

  • Manage prototyping materials, 3D printers, and supplies in the lab.
  • Operate test equipment (Oscilloscopes, Thermal chamber, Robotic Test equipment).
  • Engage in Testing and verification devices and products with different lab test tools, manuals, and robotics.
  • Support general lab organization and upkeep, including monthly and annual equipment calibration, maintenance, and repair.
  • Execute and manage work through checklists.
  • Adhere to best practices to build and define new lab procedures as needed.
  • Ability to safely handle hazardous chemicals in a lab setting, adhere to strict safety protocols, and use protective equipment.
  • Update and execute JIRA requests, including clear and timely communication with the team.
  • 100% Onsite

**Skills**

  • 3+ years experience as a lab manager or technician in the consumer electronics field.
  • Expertise in the hardware lab with testing, measurement, and prototyping with 3D printing, machining, and specialized test equipment.
  • Ability to read schematics, PCB layout, and mechanical drawings.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to prioritize and execute test plans with mínimal supervision and imperfect procedures in a highly demanding environment.
  • Initiative to recognize areas of improvement and take action.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and repair circuit boards.
  • Soldering experience.
  • Post-secondary education in college or vocational school in electrical or related fields.

**Job Type**: Seasonal

Pay: $48.10 per hour
