**Rate of Pay: $18.18 per hour**

The Norfolk Hospital Nursing Home is an 80 bed, publicly owned, non-profit facility opened in 1975. A member of the OANHS, NHNH is fully accredited by the Accreditation Canada and operated under the direction of a 10- member community Board of Trustees. The Mission of the Norfolk Hospital Nursing Home is to enrich lives with dignity, care and compassion. Our areas of focus will be to provide care throughout the life span of the residents we serve including physical, cultural, emotional, social and spiritual needs

**Responsibilities**:

- Effectively screen all caregivers, support workers, and visitors arriving at the Norfolk Hospital Nursing

Home, in accordance with guidelines set by the Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care and Public Health.
- Ensure that caregivers, support workers, and visitors adhere to entry requirements such as covid-19 rapid testing, and donning and doffing of PPE as required
- Perform rapid testing on caregivers, visitors, and staff where and when required
- Maintain screening and swabbing records for caregivers, visitors, and staff
- Screen Residents in and out of the Home for day and overnight leaves of absence
- Provide social distancing monitoring and enforcement
- Perform screening duties in a courteous and professional manner and act as an ambassador for the

Nursing Home

**Education & Qualifications**:

- Ability to interact effectively with caregivers, visitors, family members, staff, and residents
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to work well with others in an interdisciplinary team environment.
- Ability to learn new skills and adapt to changes in processes as required
- Must be self-motivated, with the ability to perform in the role under mínimal supervision, and with a high degree of attention to detail and thoroughness.
- Previous experience in customer service, health-care, or social work an asset
- Secondary School Diploma

**Hours of Work**:Must be available to work 12-hour day shifts on weekdays and weekends.
