Geotechnical Field Technician

MINIMUM 2 YEARS EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

**Responsibilities**:
Inspection, material testing and sampling for a wide variety of geotechnical and geo-environmental consulting projects involving small and large earthwork projects. The work involves geotechnical and environmental sampling, soil testing, compaction testing using the nuclear gauge, concrete testing and lab testing and construction inspection. Carrying out field work operations for sub-surface investigations including borehole supervision, test pits.

**Qualifications**:

- Civil Engineering diploma, preferably with a focus on Geotechnical Engineering
- CCIL Certifications in concrete required.
- 1-2 years field experience of soil and asphalt compaction, concrete testing, sub grade evaluation
- Previous experience working as a geotechnical technician required
- Knowledge of drilling procedures is an asset
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs
- Must own vehicle with appropriate insurance coverage and hold a valid (G-Level) Ontario Driver's License
- Proficiency in English required.
