**Alta Vista Animal Hospital** is currently welcoming a full-time **Veterinary Patient Care Coordinator **to join our team. This is an exceptional opportunity for an organized, motivated, and empathetic individual to join us in a very important support role for the entire hospital. In this role, you will help our clients and their pets feel welcomed and appreciated

As a **Patient Care Coordinator, **you will be responsible for maintaining the communication lines between the doctor and the client. You are the direct liaison between the Treatment/ICU veterinarians, treatment staff and the clients while their pet is in our care.
- Attending patient rounds
- Providing daily financial and medical updates on all hospitalized patients
- Updating invoicing daily based on Smart Flow treatment sheets
- Preparing medications
- Medical records maintenance
- Preparing and presenting discharge instructions, medications and client education
- Coordinating referrals or transfers with other hospitals
- Following up on discharged patients
- Discussing financing, requesting deposits, updating estimate plans and taking payments
- relaying lab results

**Schedule**: This position does involve evenings, weekends and statutory holidays.
